Illustration spread for the winter issue of Elementi magazine (2021):

Crows are astonishingly intelligent, and in many ways match great apes with their displays of physical intelligence and problem-solving ability. Shown on the spread (clockwise) are: common raven (Corvus corax), Eurasian magpie (Pica pica), rook (Corvus frugilegus) and New Caledonian crow (Corvus moneduloides). Corvids, such as jackdaws (Coloeus monedula), form monogamous pair bonds.
